It took me around 25-30 hours to beat Final Fantasy XIII-2. That's pretty short for a Final Fantasy game. The more I played the game, the more I disliked it. Do you remember how I said this game was alright? Well, I'm changing my opinion. This game is terrible. There are too many random battles, the story makes no sense, and the ending is the worst I've seen. I normally like bittersweet endings, but this ending is just bitter, minus the sweet. It even ends on a cliff hanger, which makes it worse. I also got stuck halfway through the game, because the game is really vague on where to go in some parts. I had to randomly do side quests until the story progressed. The side quests suck, so being forced to do them was annoying. Everything about this game is annoying. I'm just glad I'm done with it.

I started playing Final Fantasy XIII-2 recently. I'm late to the party on this one, since it came out in February. It should be noted that I'm one of the few people who liked the first Final Fantasy XIII. I only played XIII-2 for around 5 hours, so here's my first impressions of the game: it's alright. It plays like the first one, just with a cliched plot and a Pokemon gimmick. Those two things make me enjoy this game less than the previous one. I do like the time travel aspect, though. I get a strong Chrono Trigger vibe from it. I'll press on and see if my opinion changes.

I'm ready to present you with my review for Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! That about wraps it up for Donkey Kong month. It looks like this is my 50th review, too. Let's see if I can make it to 100.

The review for Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest has been posted in the review section. I've been reviewing a lot of trilogies lately. That has got me thinking about the Ape Escape trilogy. I beat the first three about a year ago and they were solid games. I wonder why they aren't more popular. The world may never know.

Maybe this is Donkey Kong month, because I just put up a review for Donkey Kong Country. I will definitely review the next two games, but that may or may not happen this month. The other thing worthy of mention is that I got invited to a local Nintendo Wii U event. Apparently, some Club Nintendo members get invited to local Wii U events around the country, or so I think. I haven't been able to dig up any information about this online, so I'm just going by the information inside the e-mail I received. I may attend this event. I'm in no particular rush to try out the Wii U, but I may as well check it out.
