I beat Fez a few hours ago. It's a great game, as you've no doubt heard, but it does suffer from some crippling issues. The biggest issue is the lag whenever you transition between areas. The other issue, which is slightly more minor but still quite major, is the glitchy game engine. Some of the glitches are not a big deal, but there are a few devastating ones that can corrupt your save files or freeze your system. It's a shame the game has so many problems, because it's good. Maybe a patch will be released to fix all these issues. Not that I would benefit from it at this point, since I'm already done with the game.

I just beat Mighty Switch Force for the 3DS. It's one of those digital games you can buy off of the 3DS' online store. I originally wasn't going to play it, but I ended up getting it for free due to one of Nintendo's special offers. That's so swell of them. The graphical style is very similar to Shantae: Risky's Revenge, which is another game developed by the same people. It's a short game, because I managed to beat this one in under an hour. I'm glad I got to play it, but there's not much of a game here. I did get it for free, so I can't complain.

The forums are back for the 100th time. I've seriously lost count on how many times these things have gone down. On the video game front, I've beaten the challenging Rayman Origins. I had a jolly good time with this one.

I've finished a review of the original Kid Icarus for the NES to celebrate the revival of this old franchise. Be sure to check that out in the review section. I also finally got around to trying Rayman Origins. I played the Wii version, though I think all versions of the game are pretty similar. It plays much like the original Rayman, but with drastic improvements. One thing I've noticed about it is that it seems to borrow heavily from Donkey Kong Country Returns and New Super Mario Bros. Wii. And by borrow heavily, I mean outright theft. Oh well, as long as it's fun.

Yesterday was April Fools, so everything I said in the news post was a lie. I think this needs no further explanation. I played Kid Icarus: Uprising recently. Anyone who played Super Smash Bros. Brawl will see similarities here, because the same guy made both games. This would be a great game if it weren't for the horrible controls and the terrible dialogue. The controls are particularly infuriating. I find moving the targeting reticle and turning around to be a continued nuisance. I finished the game in just under 7 hours, but was too displeased with the controls to enjoy it. I'd say you should try this game before you buy it.

I've found out that there's going to be a new Zelda game launching together with the Wii U. It'll be called, "The Legend of Zelda: The Holy Emblem." That's the Japanese title, so the western translation might be different. The release date for the game and the Wii U is December 18th, 2012. It's not too surprising, really. I can't wait.
